Investment strategy
The objective of the sub-fund is to obtain as high a return as possible in the long term by investing mainly in securities that are representative of the real estate sector in the euro zone. The sub-fund will not invest more than 40% of its assets in receivables of any kind. The companies in which the sub-fund invests are selected on the basis of compliance with environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria. The sub-fund promotes a combination of environmental and social aspects within the meaning of Article 8 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector, and must contain a minimum proportion of sustainable investments within the meaning of the same Regulation. This is an actively managed sub-fund, which means that the portfolio manager does not aim to replicate the performance of a benchmark.
The sub-fund invests in shares of property companies (including real estate investment trusts and regulated property companies and investment companies that invest in real estate, as well as companies active in promoting and developing property), convertible bonds or bonds with warrants issued by property companies, land and property certificates (and any analogous securities). Investments representative of the real estate sector in Belgium may form the majority of investments. The sub- fund may not invest more than 40% of its assets in debt of all kinds (such as bonds). Cash and cash equivalents may represent up to 25% of net assets.
