Police detain 6 protesters amid tensions in Tel Aviv

At least six anti-government demonstrators were detained by police on Tel Aviv's Begin Road after being ordered to disperse, The Times of Israel reported on Saturday.

The confrontation intensified when a protester intervened in a heated exchange between the police and another demonstrator, leading officers to tackle him. Mounted police charged into the crowd, as protesters shouted slogans in defiance. While a water cannon was seen on-site, it was not used.

Tensions escalated when an officer grabbed a protester's megaphone and threw it into the embers of a nearby bonfire. The incident is part of ongoing protests against the government.
