Hyundai's US sales rise to record high in 2024

Hyundai Motor Group revealed on Sunday that its vehicle sales in the United States grew to an all-time high of 1.7 million in 2024, an increase of 3.4% compared to 2023. Hyundai Motor Co. sold 911,805 units in the US, while Hyundai Motor Group's subsidiary Kia Corp. sold 796,488.

"Despite global uncertainties, along with regulations such as the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act, the company was able to achieve solid performance thanks to the popularity of (SUVs, minivans) and eco-friendly models," Hyundai told South Korea's Yonhap. The company posted a global sales figure of 4.14 million vehicles in 2024, 1.8% less than in 2023.
