Yemen's Houthis spokesperson Yahya Saree (pictured) said on Sunday that the group conducted a missile attack on a power plant in the south of Israel's Haifa area, which marks a deeper strike by the rebel group, who usually hit Tel Aviv and southern parts of Israel in its previous attacks.

According to Saree, the strike was carried out using a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile and it targeted the Orot Rabin station, located near Hadera, north of Tel Aviv. The Houthis spokesperson claimed that the missile attack "successfully achieved its objectives."

During the night, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported air raid sirens triggered by a ballistic missile in the town of Talmei Elazar, but the army claimed that the missile was shot down before it reached Israel.
