Fed's Barr to step down as supervision vice chair

Federal Reserve Board Vice Chair for Supervision Michael Barr will resign from that role effective February 28, 2025, the United States central bank said in Monday's statement.

Despite this, Barr will keep its position as a member of the Board of Governors.

"The Board does not intend to take up any major rulemakings until a vice chair for supervision successor is confirmed," the Fed said.
