United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday urged Hamas to make "the final necessary decisions" to reach a Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal before outgoing US President Joe Biden leaves the White House.
"We very much want to bring this over the finish line in the next two weeks, the time that we have remaining, and we will work every minute of every day of those two weeks to try to get that to happen," Blinken said at a press conference in South Korea.
Blinken remarks come after Saudi news outlet al-Sharq published a list of 34 hostages held in the Gaza Strip, issued by Hamas, expected to be released in the first stage of a potential ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian group and Israel.
