The objective of the Fund is to achieve income and capital growth on your investment over the long-term. The Fund aims to achieve its objective by investing at least 70% of its assets in high yield corporate bonds issued by companies in both emerging and developed markets. High yield bonds are bonds with a lower credit rating, higher risk of default and hence usually pay a higher rate of return than government bonds or investment-grade corporate bonds. At least 80% of the Fund's investments are bonds which are rated noninvestment grade (lower quality). The Fund invests in bonds which pay either a fixed or variable rate of interest. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its assets in convertible bonds (being a type of bond which can be converted to common stock or cash) and other debt instruments.
